Help on an AP English Lit essay!!! (1999 Q3)?

First character to come to mind is Mr. Darcy in Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austen. You could say he is pulled between his feelings for Elizabeth and his feelings towards her family. These two forces would support the meaning of the work, being titled Pride & Prejudice. You could also mention that both main characters are guilty of both extreme pride and prejudice.
